Does the Junior Room (Premium) at Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal have a balcony?
Yes. The room opens onto a furnished balcony that lets natural light into the bedroom, which makes it a pleasant spot for morning coffee from the in-room coffee/tea maker. The resort is beachfront, set on about one kilometer of sandy beach just south of the town of Akumal. Swim-up Junior Suites with direct pool access from a private terrace are a separate category.
How are the beds arranged, and how many people can stay in this room?
The room has 1 King or 2 Double Beds and sleeps up to 4 guests in 388 sq. ft. The king layout suits couples who want extra space. The two-double layout is the natural choice for a family or two friends travelling together. Bedding, blackout drapes, air conditioning and a ceiling fan are all provided.

How close is the room to the beach, pools and restaurants?
The resort sits directly on the beach and has three oceanfront pools with different atmospheres, as well as dedicated children's pools. The exact walking distance depends on where your room is within the resort. Dining includes around 13 restaurants. Katok is a casual beach and pool restaurant where swimwear is fine. Specialty restaurants such as Ku'uk and Frutos del Mar require a reservation and semi-formal attire.
Which parts of the resort are quieter or noisier?
Most on-site bars wind down around 11pm. The nightclub in the Hacienda Doña Isabel area runs from 23:30 to 02:00, so rooms far from the entertainment areas will be calmer at night. The room has blackout drapes, air conditioning and a ceiling fan to help you sleep. If a quiet location matters to you, ask the hotel about your preference when you book.
What time is check-in, and how do I get to the hotel from the airport?
Check-in starts at 15:00 and check-out is at 12:00. The booking guest must be at least 18. Cancún International Airport is roughly an hour's drive away, and Tulum International Airport is about the same. The resort offers bookable round-trip airport transfers, private or shared, as an add-on. Self-parking is free if you are renting a car.
What else should I know before booking this room?
Pack your own toothbrush and toothpaste. The in-room safe is free of charge. Pets are not allowed, except service animals. The spa, with its hydrotherapy circuit and beachfront massage palapas, is charged separately from the all-inclusive rate. Dry-season months from December to April bring the most reliable beach weather and the clearest water for snorkeling nearby, including the turtle-spotting Akumal Bay.
